Virtual Couples Therapy in Minnesota

Specializing in Premarital, Postpartum and High-Conflict Couples Counseling

Feeling Disconnected, Overwhelmed or Stuck in the Same Argument?

You love each other, but lately it feels harder to stay connected. Conversations turn tense. Stress builds. The distance grows in small, frustrating ways.

Whether you’re preparing for marriage, going through pregnancy or adjusting to life with a new baby, you don’t have to handle it alone.

A Specialized Approach to Couples Therapy in Minnesota

At ForwardUs Counseling, we work exclusively with couples and in the transitions that test a relationship most , premarital preparation, postpartum and the high-conflict communication patterns that keep repeating no matter what you try.

Our work is guided by the Re|Pair™ Framework, integrating the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help couples interrupt their cycle, rebuild trust, and make it stick.

We don't take sides. We show you the loop you're stuck in so the same fight stops repeating and you can actually fix things when they go wrong.

Hi, I’m Evon Inyang, MA, LAMFT

Evon Inyang, MA, LAMFT

I built this practice around the moments that test a couple most. Getting married. Expecting a baby. Surviving the first year of parenthood, or a conflict that keeps repeating no matter what you try.

I'm a board-licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works only with couples. Hundreds of them, through postpartum and the conflict seasons that keep resetting.

I know how this season actually feels. The scorekeeping over who slept. The resentment nobody says out loud. The morning you looked at your partner and felt like strangers. Nothing you bring in here is too ugly to say. I've heard it and I don't take sides.

Here's what changes. You stop having the same fight. You start hearing what your partner actually needs instead of just the complaint on the surface. You learn to fix things when they go wrong instead of letting them pile up.

I'm direct. I don't wait for the conversation to finish. I interrupt the pattern in the moment, which is where the change happens, not someday.

Most couples find me after therapy that didn't work, months of talking with nothing changing. If you're worried you've waited too long, you almost certainly haven't.

  • "She helped us navigate difficult conversations before the baby arrived, prepare for labor and delivery, and discuss expectations for life after birth. Because of her support, we felt much more confident and connected as we entered this new chapter. The difference in our relationship from when we first started to where we are now is truly night and day."

  • "My biggest concern was not wanting to feel like I was being ganged up on. That didn't happen. She doesn't take sides, and she doesn't let you just vent at each other either. She's direct, but it never feels like blame."
